*Location; Chicago, IL Duration: 8-12 months* *NOTE: Just need to have done a mailbox transformation from IBM FTB to Sterling using Connect direct* *Required Experience* SFG (Sterling File Gateway) Performed migrations from IBMs FTP to Sterling Connect:Direct and Connect:Enterprise product family Technical analysis and providing end user support Knowledge of general networking, TCP/IP, SNA, operating system design, character conversion, and proprietary process scripting language. Experience defining and implementing appropriate network interfaces through internal and external firewalls UNIX system using HP Serviceguard for high-availability Support of applications running on iSeries, Windows, and multiple variants of UNIX including Linux *Additional Skills* Apache and Tomcat HTTPS, FTP w/SSL, SFTP *Brief Job Description* Provided technical expertise in the implementation of an enterprise level deployment of Sterling Commerce applications to enable efficient data delivery for critical financial content. Multi-level implementation involving the use of the Sterling Secure Proxy software in conjunction with remote Connect:Enterprise protocol daemons and web-server software in the DMZ to provide a protocol break between trading partners and the internal core system. The core system is installed to a clustered UNIX system using HP Serviceguard for high-availability. Connect:Direct and Connect:Enterprise UNIX provide the core HA services along with Apache and Tomcat providing a web application interface using the Sterling Connect:Enterprise HTTP servlet. The Sterling Control Center application was implemented to provide a monitoring interface for the existing data exchange infrastructure, which enabled a single point of access to monitor the existing architecture as well as the new structure created by this project. Connect:Direct is a data movement software solution that is designed to provide reliable and secure data transfer between disparate software platforms. The Connect:Enterprise product is a multi-protocol mailbox application that is often used closely with Connect:Direct. Troubleshooting these products require knowledge of general networking, TCP/IP, SNA, operating system design, character conversion, and proprietary process scripting language.
