Primary Skills:
migrating storage and backup platforms- SAN and NAS technologies, Host
to storage interfaces; HBA and multipathing configuration in ESX, Windows,
Linux and Unix. Dell Compellent Dell Equalogic EMC DMX EMC NS-Series IBM
XIV Brocade SAN switches
Resources should be skilled enough to manage Backup and Storage environment
end to end. He should have good understanding on TSM backup solution and
Dell Storage. He should have worked in Strong migrating *storage and backup
platforms experience*. Should have L3 level skills to manage these
technologies.
v In-depth understanding of Enterprise SAN and NAS technologies including:
v FC networking, zoning, masking
v Storage replication management
v Provisioning block and file level storage
v Host to storage interfaces; HBA and multipathing configuration in ESX,
Windows, Linux and Unix
v Unified computing, converged networks
v Storage performance management
v SAN and NAS replication
v Working knowledge of at least 5 of the following storage products:
v *Dell Compellent*
v *Dell Equalogic*
v *EMC DMX*
v *EMC NS-Series*
v *IBM XIV*
v Brocade SAN switches
v Experience with 2-3 different storage management and monitoring tools
v 2-3 years of working as a storage operations lead in a medium to large
environment (100+ hosts)
v Experience with new storage platform implementations and storage
migrations
v Experience with managing storage replication and using it for Disaster
Recovery
v Working knowledge of IBM TSM backup software (versions 5 and 6)
v Building new TSM environment
v Day to day backup management
v Managing different types of backup storage – disk, VTL, physical
tape/library
v Backup replication and disaster recovery
v *TSM migration and upgrade*
