CR 6632880 needs a sponsor.
When the xvm/xen blkback driver does not support
BLKIF_OP_WRITE_BARRIER (or fails requests for
some reason), the Solaris blkfront driver xdf can fail
unrelated i/o requests with I/O errors.
My suggested fix in included in the workaround section
for bug report 6632880
