Re: [Resin-interest] Purpose of localhost_6802 file

2008-09-20 Thread Artamonov Vlad
Hi Scott,

I apologize that I haven't notice your reply till Jens mentioned it in email
from September 18. Thank for this explanation and we will try increased
dependency-check-interval, but can I ask more? Is that file somehow related to
Apache activity? In our environment, if it grows above 60KB, Apache becomes
slow, eats up more than 100 Megs of virtual memory and we have to remove the
file after stopping Apache and Resin.

Best Regards,
Vlad

It's a cache of the configuration information. Essentially, it's the
same data as it shown in /caucho-status.

There shouldn't be any performance hit, unless you have set low. Normally, for an Apache deployment
configuration it should be at least 1h.

[Resin-interest] Purpose of localhost_6802 file

2008-08-03 Thread Artamonov Vlad

Hello,

Does anybody know what is the purpose of /tmp/localhost_6802 in Apache+Resin
setup? There was noticed some perfomance degradation when the file gets bigger.
Is it possible to maintain it somehow?
