Emil's talk should be a good one. He'll be introducing HMTP (Hessian Message Transport Protocol), which is our Java translation of the Jabber (XMPP) IM protocol. It turns out, if you translate Jabber's XML into an object-oriented protocol (i.e. Hessian), it become much easier to extend and create custom applications and keep the same interactivity of IM applications. The main example Emil's been working on is a two-player Sudoku game where the client is written in Flash, and Resin acts as the coordinator for the gameplay. -- Scott > > > Frank G. > - www.javasig.com > -- > +==============================================+ > | Crossroads Technologies Inc. | > | www.CrossroadsTech dot com | > | fgreco at REMOVEtheX!cross!roads!tech!dotXcom| > +==============================================+ > -- > > > > _______________________________________________ > resin-interest mailing list > resin-interest@caucho.com > http://maillist.caucho.com/mailman/listinfo/resin-interest _______________________________________________ resin-interest mailing list resin-interest@caucho.com http://maillist.caucho.com/mailman/listinfo/resin-interest
