Position :Cognos Developer
Location :Florida
Duration :6 Month Contract
Job Description:
6+ years experience with Cognos in BI/Reporting development.
5+ years hands-on experience developing frameworks and dashboards
using Cognos. Experience with Power Designer data modeling and Sybase
IQ a plus.
Responsibilities:
Cognos report development including framework modeling, creation of
data mappings and dashboards.
Work effectively with internal business and technical stakeholders
including ability to present technical solutions while showing a
strong understanding of business activities
and objectives.
Develop high level and detail designs for data mart and data warehouse projects.
Create system documentation including, but not limited to, data
dictionaries, schema diagrams, programming specifications, etc.
Develop system test plans and test cases.
Additional Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science and multiple years related work experience.
Knowledge/experience with data warehousing concepts such as data
modeling, data quality, SCD, ETL.
Knowledge/experience with both Entity Relational Models, and Dimensional Models.
Strong understanding of Business Intelligence (BI, OLAP, ROLAP) tools.
Extensive experience with SQL and ability to develop complex schemas.
Required :
Hands on experience with Cognos in BI/Reporting development

Extensive experience with SQL and ability to develop complex schemas
Requires solid SQL skills
Experience with data warehousing concepts such as data modeling
