Fine tuning TOMCAT is a MUST and patches are MUST *HYPERION ADMINISTRATOR* *Duration- 3+ months or contract to hire * *Location: Houston, TX* ** Act as a Hyperion System 9 subject matter expert in architecting Hyperion Planning, Essbase, FDM and HFM solutions. Act as a Hyperion administrator and assist in the set-up, upgrade and maintenance of the Hyperion infrastructure. Skilled in Optimization and *Performance Tuning* of all Hyperion applications, data/metadata processing, upgrading, testing and migrating of cubes and Hyperion applications in different environments. Interface with the Hyperion Functional team and participate in technical roles in implementing Hyperion projects. Support in business development activities and participate in multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for ensuring best practices are followed and development standards adhere to corporate quality standards. Day to day responsibilities include the following: - Designing and implementing landscape for Development, Production and QA/Staging and Archive (Hyperion system 9). - Installation of Hyperion System 9 suite of products such as Analytic services, Hyperion Planning, Financial management, FDM/Upstream, HAL, Shared Services, and License server - Configuration and deployment of above applications on Weblogic 8.1.4 - Administration of system 9 product suites - Tuning Analytic services for optimal performance, data retrieval and calculation - Security setup for Business users. - Migration of applications from one environment to another through a migration process - Archiving production HFM application per quarter and year closure - Establishing Read Only view for Archive applications to limited end users - Maintaining overnight batch processes for data movements in Essbase - Automating overnight processes - Maintaining daily data backups through automation scripts using MaxL - Supporting end users with Smartview and Excel-add-on issues - Facilitating User Acceptance Testing and Performance testing - Applying patches : Hyperion fixes *QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:** *** - *3+ years of proven experience with HFM and Planning/Essbase technology and a total of 5 to 10 years of IT experience. * - *Skilled in optimization and performance tuning of all Hyperion applications. * - *Experience with Hyperion System 9 software suite including Planning and HFM is a must. * - *Some experience with Oracle 10g (or above), SQL Server 2005, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, Hyperion suite of tools and Windows is also required. * - *Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * - *Strong attention to detail and high quality of work.* ** * Regards Rick.K InfoExperts 111.
