Duties: • Analyze requirements and design software using object oriented techniques and UML diagrams to document the design. • Implement software designs using Java and enterprise Java technologies. • Prepare and execute unit and integration tests. • Participate in peer reviews and software inspections. • Estimate and plan software development work. • Identify and correct defects and their root causes. • Apply software engineering best practices to your work. Skills: • Passion for software engineering • Good teamwork and interpersonal communication skills • excellent analytical and quantitative skills • Enthusiasm for learning • Strong work ethic Technical skills: • 7+ years experience designing and developing software on full life-cycle development projects • 5+ years experience using Java and J2EE • Experience with relational database design, SQL, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and Design Patterns • Experience with Hibernate, Spring, Weblogic are a plus • Experience using a software development process such as RUP, PSP, TSP, Feature Driven Development, Scrum, etc. • Knowledge of finance, derivatives, and active portfolio management is a significant advantage.
