Javascript Developer Woonsocket, RI- Candidates must be local Rate : $40/hr on c2c Max 5+ months contract PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Works as a team member to write code for new web-­?based software applications using client-­?side and server-­?side techniques. • Writes SQL based on business rules. Creates tools to manage large datasets. Optimizes SQL for performance. • Maintains and improves in-­?house software applications used for circular and signing production, online promotions photography and asset management solutions, and data exchange. • Works with product owners and stakeholders to define project requirements. • Stays on top of new technological developments and readily incorporates new practices and tools. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Javascript for client-­?side scripting. Use of third party libraries including Angular or Ember. • Front-­?end frameworks and grid systems for responsive design. Bootstrap or other. • Write SQL, use stored procedures, triggers, and views. • Work primarily with PostgreSQL. Familiarity with document-­?oriented databases and key-­? value stores desirable. • Ruby on Rails, object oriented PHP, Python and other web programming languages. • Familiarity with HTML5. • Strong focus on user experience, usability, and workflow efficiency. • Use of Linux and open source software. Enthusiasm for Apple-­?based systems a plus. • Use of version control (git), task automation (grunt), and continuous integration (Jenkins).
