*SRA International * *Rate: $55/hour * *6 month contract to perm * *GC or Citizen * Major objective The major objective of the position is to work closely with the user community to ensure a continued flow of user-initiated report development, to maintain smooth system operations and participate in system enhancements, to address a backlog of user-recommended improvements, and to work with other BO developers to upgrade the system from XI 3.1 to XI 4.1. Project Overview Decision Support System (DSS) is the first successful data warehouse implemented at the Administrative Office of the US Courts, and it uses BusinessObjects as its reporting tool. The DSS team is currently composed of ten SQL, .NET and BusinessObjects developers and analysts. DSS is extremely user focused with a community of over 8,000 persons fully engaged in report development. On average 10,000 different reports are run every month. The successful candidate must also be able to work well with users across the country possessing various skills in report writing. Daily Responsibilities Gather requirements and help design, develop, and manage the BusinessObjects universes, dashboards and Web Intelligence reports. Work with the SQL developers and the internal test team to develop and validate other universe objects Assist the project team in writing T- SQL stored procedures and functions to enhance the data warehouse Maintain operations of the cluster of BusinessObjects servers, performing service pack and fix pack upgrades as needed, and performing regularly scheduled backups Migrate BO content between the development, test, staging, and production environments Maintain the security model within the BusinessObjects environments and implement security within Web Intelligence reports Provide training to users on report development and assist them in troubleshooting any issues Basic Requirements At least 8 years of experience in universe design and Web Intelligence report development using BusinessObjects XI 3.1 or higher At least five years of experience in BusinessObjects administration in a Unix or Linux environment. At least three years of experience in SQL programming in Oracle, SQL Server 2005/2008 or Informix Strong oral and written communication skills.
