Position: Business Analyst
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Client: Ramsey Count
Basic Function: Provides practical business analysis services associated
with multiple, simultaneous Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) technology
implementation projects. Primary assignment will be to Client's Electronic
Health Records (EHR) project, deploying software/system to clinical,
correctional, and behavioral health facilities.
Elicits and documents business requirements, contributes to RFP development
for packaged software, evaluates vendors against requirements, facilitates
fit/gap and design sessions with vendors, develops test scenarios, and
creates training materials
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of a common set of requirements fr0m distinct
and cross-functional teams using leadership, communication, and negotiation
skills
- Develop business analysis deliverables including requirements
documentation, vendor evaluation criteria, fit/gap and design
documentation, test plans, training plans, and training materials
- Identify and document design gaps, develop options to resolve gaps, and
provide estimates for work effort and duration
- Translate business requirements into functional design specifications,
and work with project team to create integrated solution designs
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues during design, build, and test
- Solve business, technical, and execution problems through team work,
facilitation, negotiation, and collaboration, and by identifying
alternatives, trade-offs, and work-arounds; generate and provide
transparency to quicker or less expensive options and alternatives
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required (detail):
- Experience working with and managing vendors as part of a technology
solution implementation team
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across different locations;
ability to build relationships and alliances across the organization
- Organized, analytical, detail oriented, and process oriented
- Exceptional documentation skills
- Excellent communicator; positive attitude and ability to work with
variety of personalities
- Ability to tailor communications to executive management, peers, team
members, and personnel who's jobs will be impacted
Top skills include Planning and Organizing; Problem Solving and
Collaboration; and Communication
Minimum Qualifications (detail):
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, business, technology,
or a related area.
Certification in business analysis, such as CBAP (Certified Business
Analysis Professional) or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in business analysis on technology
projects in a medium to large sized organization.
Experience deploying EHR/EMR technology.
Desired Qualification (detail):
Experience deploying NextGen EHR.
NextGen certified user.
Potential for over-time hours.
