*Position: Data Warehouse Developer (*Teradata*)*

Duration:  6+ Months

Location: New Brunswick, NJ.

Start date: 12/2/2013.

*VISA: USC or GC*



*Requirements:*



   - Develop and Analyze Teradata Database modules for GFS FP&A project in
   a multi-tiered architecture across different environments.
   - Responsible for analysis and detailed technical design document for
   FP&A Data Warehouse.
   - Collaborate with cross functional teams including Engineering &
   Operations toward successful deployment of deliverables.
   - Provide technical support required to resolve complex issues to ensure
   the on-time delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations.
   - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to react quickly
   to changing requirements due to product limitation or driven by
   enterprise/management need
   - Works to define and characterize complex technology or process
   problems and/or develops new solutions, yet works independently to drive
   technical problems to a solution.
   - Provide best practices and processes for day to day operations,
   performance analysis, tuning of Data Warehouse solutions in operational
   phase.
   - Develop and foster a collaborative working relationship with the
   Business Intelligence and ETL teams, consultants, and project managers to
   develop processes, documentation and solutions related to deployments.



*Required Competencies:*



   - The candidate should possess strong data analytical skills
   - Progressive and varied experience in SDLC (software development life
   cycle) for Data Warehouse applications on Teradata.
   - Extensive experience in development and deployment of Data Warehouse
   solutions
   - Proficient in data warehousing techniques for data cleaning, Slowly
   Changing Dimension phenomenon, surrogate key assignment and CDC (change
   data capture), Audit table, Error Handling Techniques for ETL process
   - Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and well versed with *Bill
   Inmon's 3NF modeling and Ralph Kimball's Dimensional modeling, with Erwin
   skills.*
   - Experience in physical modeling with knowledge to use Primary,
   Secondary, PPI and Join Index
   - Experience with *MLoad, BTeq ,  FastExport *and *FastLoad* to
   design and develop dataflow paths for loading transforming and maintaining
   Data Warehouse
   - Experience with *Windows 7, IE 8, Vista, XP, Office 2007/2010*
   - Experience with Data and Issue analysis using SQL
   - Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the demonstrated
   ability to communicate complex technical topics to team, managers and
   non-technical audiences



*Highly Desirable:*



*•**       Experience with Teradata 14.0 *

*•**       Experience in integration with Cognos BI 10 and later version*

*•**       Experience with Informatica 9.0 or above*

*•**       Experience within HealthCare/Pharmaceutical industry*
