We have an Urgent opening .Please see the Job Description Below and let me know if you have any consultant available. *Role: Senior Systems/Mainframe Programmer* *Location:* *Birmingham, Alabama* *Duration: 6+ months* *Relevant Experience * 10+ years of technical work experience supporting mainframe system software products including operating systems, utilities and ISV software. AIX, I-series and other open systems experience a plus. *Technical/Functional Skills * • Operating Systems installation experience in an IBM System Z hardware environment; IBM z/OS V1.12 or later • z/OS Hardware configuration knowledge on IBM System z10 or later hardware • Experience supporting z/OS input / output (I/O) subsystems including disk storage and virtual tape subsystems • Experience supporting high-speed print subsystems (Xerox ) in a z/OS JES2 environment • TCP/IP configuration and support experience on the z/OS operating system and IBM System Z hardware interfacing with enterprise networks. ‘OSA’ configuration experience and responsibility. • IBM z/OS Assembler language coding skills and experience maintaining operating system exit code in major z/OS components including SMF, MPF, and JES2 • Third party (non-IBM) vendor package installation and support experience a plus: ASG ZARA tape management system, Levi Ray and Shoup VPS, Triangle Systems IOF, BMC Mainview SRM, Computer Associates software • Strong communications skills are required in order to interact effectively with other team members, customers, management and vendor support personnel. Tailors the detail and formality of communications appropriately for the intended audience. • Experience working with vendors and technical experts outside of normal business hours with minimal supervision • Able to work independently, follow industry standards / best practices and take responsibility for ongoing professional development.
