Contract Position: IT - Security Consultant Contract Duration: 6 Months to start Work Location: San Ramon, CA Ability to resolve security issues associated with relational databases, e-mail, modems & remote access, viruses, and third party applications. Extensive knowledge of Information Security management and practice; including professional standards for Information security, guidelines, regulations, and applicable laws. Strong background in Internet architectures, methodologies, and processes including setup and configuration of routers, firewalls, proxy servers, IDS, VPN’s and other security appliances. Penetration testing, intrusion detection, policy development and review, as well as hands-on experience with security hardware (firewalls, etc.) Experience complex networks and network security required. Solid written/verbal skills and the ability to present these ideas and concepts to large and small audiences. Must be comfortable with public speaking, and have excellent self-management skills.
