*Position: Java Developer with Hadoop* *Location: NJ/NYC.* *In person is a must.* Need senior level candidates with 12+ years of Backend development....financial services with Risk An experienced Developer is needed to work as part of an internal team alongside vendor development and testing teams ensuring the system knowledge remains within the organization. The Hadoop/Java Developer is responsible for design, development, documenting and unit testing all aspects of one or more components within Volcker Platform. The Hadoop/Java Developer will partner with Business Analysis and Testing teams to deliver the changes from original concept through final implementation. The candidate will possess a solid hands-on development track record in Big Data and related disciplines. The role demands working alongside a geographically dispersed team consisting of development and QA vendor teams, FAs and BAs. The Hadoop/Java Developer is required to maintain line of communication within the cross-functional, diverse, multi-cultural teams, inclusive of business, operations, risk, finance, infrastructure, development, testing, and production support teams. As such, the clear verbal and written communication is a requirement. Prior experience in the Financial Services environment is a big plus, especially the knowledge in the areas of risk calculation and securities and derivatives processing. *Skills: *Hadoop,JAVA,Deployment,angular.js,Backend,Big Data,Business Intelligence,Cognos,Data Warehousing,GWT,Hive,HTML5,JSON,OOD,Pig,QA,SQL,Tomcat,Unit Testing,Weblogic,XML,XSLT *Tasks / Responsibilities:* · Participate in the review of Business Requirements and contribute materially to the development of functional design · Design, develop and implement production quality software systems into Regulatory framework · Development of source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with the Detailed Software Requirements Specification, the functional design and technical design documents. · Measures and analyzes code for quality. Participates in the source code reviews. Software review findings must be resolved. · Integrates software components following the integration strategy. · Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan.
