Position:Unix Administrator Location:Bethesda, MD Duration:12+ months Skills required: HPUX 11.11 on PA-risc Vpar -- moderate skill (Not huge amount of work on this) Icod -- moderate skills (not much to do with this. but we use it) ServiceGuard (good solid understanding.. real world experience) SAN storage, preferably in an EMC environment. (do not need SAN management skills.. just understanding) LVM An understanding of Oracle (need not be a DBA, customer has DBA's) SH/KSH scripting Knowledge of the following is helpful: MQ, Tivoli workload scheduler, NetBackup, CIFS/Samba Ability to work in structured environment with change control and significant process. Typical migration will involve: Work with application support teams to identify application components (filesystems, permissions/security, software, users, LVM volumes, network config, etc) Prepare new environment (create users, install software, etc) Use LVM to export/import volumes between machines.
