Description is below. It will start as a 6 month contract with possible extensions. The person must be a strong communicator and have experience doing QA automated testing including having worked with Rational Functional Tester tool, experience with regression testing and have some JAVA development experience. The real kicker in my opinion is finding someone with this* * * * QA background that has done JAVA development. * * * *Testing automation on the rPOS (Replacement Point of Sale) project.* *Position Summary:* *Analyze, develop, construct, and test automated regression testing on the Replacement Point of Sale Project (rPOS).* *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* *Work with testing lead to maintain/create automated test cases for the rPOS project. Design and code test cases using Java and Rational Functional Tester. Execute automated test cases as required. Incorporate changes from each release into the regression suite. * *Expected Deliverables: * *Automated test cases. Automated test case validation. Status reports.* *Supervisory Responsibilities:* *none* *Preferred Education and/or Experience: * *College degree in computer related field. 5+ years of experience in testing and object oriented programming in Java. Experience doing full life cycle development. Strong understanding in configuring applications. * *Technical Requirements:* *Ability to organize information quickly, effective at problem solving, working knowledge of related tools such as: ClearQuest, Mercury Quality Center, MS Excel, MS Word, Cyrstal Reports, Planview. Working knowledge of Rational Functional Tester, Java, PERL, Eclipse, Object oriented programming, Windows batch files. The following skills are listed in sequence of importance: 1. Experience creating automated regression test cases with Rational Functional Tester. 2. Java - Intermediate development experience. 3. A couple of years of formal QA testing experience with some of it in Regression Testing. 4. Experience creating automated regression test cases with some other tool like WinRunner. 5. Data flow experience 6. Excellent communication skills 7.
