Job Title: TPF Developer (Transaction Processing Facility) Location: Denver, CO/Atlanta, GA/Bethesda, MD Duration: 1 Year Contract Contract – Must be EAD, GC or Citizen They want a senior level person…so 10+ years of IT experience *Write-Up Criteria* 7-10+ TPF development experience Airline e-ticketing experience preferred WAS-WMB experience preferred Be available 1 week per month for 24/7 on-call troubleshooting Advanced degree in computer science preferred JAVA, C++ languages on TPF, Websphere, Linux or Windows platforms. Job Description Key Responsibilities Primary Functions: Develops high level designs and solutions, sometimes across multiple platforms Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced developers within the group Work with peers in Product, development, Commercial, outside vendors such as IBM Creates software specification requirements into appropriate programming languages. Be available 24x7 one week per month to troubleshoot and correct any urgent customer impacting problem within your area of responsibility Provides project estimates and planning functions for management Analyses user requirements, researching, designing and writing new software programs or developing existing programs by analyzing and Identifying areas for modification. Additional Functions Writing operational documentation Writing and testing code and then refining and rewriting as necessary. Reviews, tests and evaluates new versions of operating systems and related software. Develops and maintains an understanding of business needs and objectives to ensure timely responsiveness within assigned areas of responsibility. Prepares regular reports on all assigned activities as required by supervisor. Key Skills Expertise Provides technical assistance to applications programming, communications, network, and operating systems personnel.
