*Location:* New York City *Duration:* Long-Term Our client is seeking a seasoned Microsoft SQL Server Development DBA / Architect for a long-term contract opportunity. This person will be responsible for the architecture of the Feed Processing systems & enhancement & development of systems & tools. Partnering with various departments within the Online Technology division, this individual will design, develop, review, & administer all processes, SSIS packages, stored procedures, & calling interfaces to support & sustain the reliability, integrity, & scalability of the client's production & mission-critical eCommerce applications, environments, & infrastructure. *Required Skills:* . 5-7 years SQL Server 2005 database design & administration experience within a high volume, transaction-oriented web environment (eCommerce or trading environments preferred) . Large-scale ETL experience with SQL Server REQUIRED . Experience emphasizing on XML feeds & performance tuning . Windows 2003 / 2010 . SSIS, SQL Server clustering & data modeling & design required . Expert knowledge Transact SQL (T-SQL) . Good knowledge of relational databases (concepts & constructs) . Knowledge of distributed architecture & design . Thorough knowledge of data backup, recovery, & rollback planning/implementation . Proficiency in SQL Server 2005 optimization, fine-tuning, & scalability techniques . Thorough knowledge of data security issues . Strong knowledge of network architecture & topology . BS/BA in Computer Science or related field (advance degree preferred) .
