*Qualifications:*
Need candidates who can come for in-perosn
SQL/Windows administration·
Experience in installing Windows OS (2008, 2008 r2, 2012), SQL
server(2008, 2008 r2, 2012)·
Hand on VMWare, Hyper-V administration·
Responsible for Auditing data, Application Integration (Transact-SQL
scripts, or SSIS packages) and Backup and Recovery of SQL
server/Databases·
Responsible for Capacity Planning (archiving , increasing the size of
current hardware, or adding new hardware)·
Good knowledge and experience in Developing and Maintaining Best Practices
and High Availability for Windows and SQL servers·
Installing, Configuring, Patching and Upgrading SQL Server Software·
Installing and Configuring Hardware: responsible for building, installing,
and configuring hardware. In addition, may also perform regular hardware
troubleshooting and maintenance.·
Monitoring performance, monitoring server disk space, monitoring logs,
ensuring jobs have run successfully, checking for errors, and so
on.·
Performance Tuning: monitor performance and to determine ways to optimize
SQL database performance.·
Scripting: Transact-SQL scripts to perform a wide range of tasks,
including monitoring and maintenance tasks.·
Troubleshooting: DBA is expected to “drop everything” and focus on
resolving the problem at hand.·
Co-ordination between offshore and clientsGood to have Skills:
Oracle 10g and 11g administration
Evaluate how Oracle Database and its applications can best use the
available computer resources. This evaluation should reveal the following
information:
1. How many disk drives are available to the Oracle products
2. How many, if any, dedicated tape drives are available to Oracle
products
3. How much memory is available to the instances of Oracle Database
you will run
Backup and restore of oracle databases including cold and hot backup
Administration of oracle Real application cluster (RAC)
Download and install patches
Applying oracle database rounds
