Short Description: This infrastructure specialist is responsible in assisting the development, enhancement, implementation and administration of the agency server infrastructure and use of set products. Complete Description: Hardware and Software Assist in the installation and configuration of new and existing hardware and software into the agency Windows 2000 and 2003 multi-forest Active Directory environment. Configure server security (lock down) Assist in enhancing the backup / restore environment for servers, directories and files. Assist in documenting the hardware and software environments. Support and maintain the hardware and software. Continue to review, and assist in planning and implementing the new standard server hardware into the Active Directory environment; and apply access controls and implement management tools. Infrastructure Environment Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster Recovery Environment Support and maintain the hardware and software. Multi-Forest Active Directory Prepare the DHS Active Directory forest for Windows 2003 Assist in establishing a single directory presence into the N-Tier Enterprise Environment. Assist in creating and applying access controls Assist in creating and maintaining user and group accounts. Assist in documenting the Active Directory environment. Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster Recovery Environment Support and maintain the Active Directory environment. Security Framework Recommend ways of enhancing the N-Tier Enterprise Environment.
