I am lookin to see if it is possible to create a script that will execute
against only machines that did NOT get their last scheduled backup. I have
an office of laptop users that are sometimes gone for weeks at a time then
are in the office for a day or maybe two. I'm looking for a way to
Retro's Backup Server function exists for exactly what you're trying to do.
If you don't have the manuals, I can email you the PDF version.

Backup Server is a function of Retrospect.
When a machine appears on the network, it will start backing it up as
soon as it can.
Starting on Page 70 of the Retrospect Desktop manual, it has an
excellent description of backup servers and their uses and benefits
for laptops.
