Steve,
We did see slow restores with the OnStream drive. This should have been
fixed with the latest firmware update, v1.08. Make sure you've got this
(from Retrospect go to Configure>Devices>Device Status. Look in the
"Version" column for 1.08). If not, download the latest firmware update from
