Just wondering if there is way to show the new revision changes in the View
Diff on the left side; our reviewers are used to the eclipse diff view,
which has the new changes on the left. If not, could this could be easily
implemented in an extension?

No, there's no optional or ability to do this, nor would we want to spend
the time adding one. That's a very unusual design for a diff viewer, and
I'm a bit surprised that's what Eclipse uses.
