Re: ERROR - - root - SVN: Failed to get repository information

2017-06-27 Thread Christian Hammond
Hi Markus,

The SSL certificate shouldn't be a factor. The error you're hitting is due
to SVN-side access controls. You'll need to find out from the SVN
administrator what kind of access that user has. It's possible that your
user account being used for Review Board has some restrictions preventing
it from making the calls needed on the repository.

To be clear, this isn't a login issue or a SSL certificate issue, but
something that needs to be set correctly on the SVN side. See
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.serverconfig.pathbasedauthz.html for
one method that's used for limiting access to paths.

The "Show this repository" option has no bearing on this. It's simply used
to control whether the repository will be shown in the New Review Request
page or in the API.

2017-06-27 Thread Markus
Hi Chris,

thank you for your answer.

I´m not the admin for our svn but I installed and configured reviewboard
with the svn admin.

We use an wildcard SSL certificate. Our svn server is at
https://svn.companyname/repo an the certificate is valid for
https://*.companyname/
Can this lead to problems?

On first time when I try to create the repository I must accept the
certificate manually (fingerprint) .
But I get the Error message from my 1th post.

When i unceck the option "Show this repository" i can create the repository.
In a older post I´ve read that I can set this option directly in the sql
database.
I tried that, but I get the same error message when creating a review
request.

Thanks in advance, Markus

Hi Markus,

It looks like the user you're authenticating as just doesn't have
permission to access that path for some reason. Are you maintaining the SVN
server as well?

Any chance the svn info command you ran is using a different user session?

ERROR - - root - SVN: Failed to get repository information

2017-06-26 Thread Markus
Hi,

i have some problems to setup reviewboard with my svn server.
I got the ERROR Message in the reviewboard log:
*ERROR - - root - SVN: Failed to get repository information for
https://server/svn/Library/: Unable to connect to a repository at URL
'https://server/svn/Library'*
*Access to '/svn/Library' forbidden*

I installed the newest version from bitnami reviewboard and pysvn on an
windows server.

SVN and the Reviewboard are not on the same server and the authenticating
is with LDAP.

I can successful connect to svn from the reviewboard server:

C:\Windows\System32>svn info https://server/svn/Library/
Path: Library
URL: https://server/svn/Library
Relative URL: ^/
Repository Root: https://server/svn/Library
Repository UUID: b11aa71e-91ab-d044-a908-7c2ca2c31a05
Revision: 3398
Node Kind: directory
Last Changed Author: xyz
Last Changed Rev: 3398
Last Changed Date: 2017-06-26 10:26:06 +0200 (Mo, 26 Jun 2017)

I tried different thinks with the svn url, different usernames and so one,
but nothing works.

Do you have andy idea for me?

Thanks Markus
