I think this is fixed. Been using it myself. Please reopen if you can
verify it on RB 1.7 or 2.0.

This sounds like a bug. We don't have unit testing for this, unfortunately,
so something may have broken. It's probably an easy fix, though.

(Might be a good one to have a student fix during our Sprint?)

Care to explain what I did wrong? I followed the documentation on adding
site-specific management commands.

Issue 2390 in reviewboard: Adding a site commands directory breaks all management commands

2011-11-18 Thread reviewboard

Status: New
Owner:
Labels: Type-Defect Priority-Medium

New issue 2390 by roy.jean...@gmail.com: Adding a site commands directory
breaks all management commands

http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=2390

What version are you running?
1.6.3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a commands directory in a reviewboard site.
2. Try to run any management command, such as rb-site manage upgrade

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The management command should run. Instead, I get this output for every
management command that tries to run:

[!] Unable to execute the manager command index: Settings cannot be
imported, because environment variable DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE is
undefined.

Removing the commands directory fixes the problem.

What operating system are you using? What browser?
Mac OS X Lion, Safari 5.1.
