We need to plan for this upgrade and it might take a while. Meanwhile is 
there any other way to fix this issue?

What version of Review Board? Is this with SVN? How is the diff being
generated? How is the diff being uploaded?

One of our users had issues updating a diff in one of the reviews as the 
base directory path which gets populated automatically, was not proper. It 
was coming up something like this 
"ibm-lpar runk lockscollect emplates ext-collectorconf" whereas it should 
have been  "ibm-lpar/trunk/blocks/collect/templates/text-collector/conf" . 
It loos like RB is treating \t as tab . This is happening only for this 
particular review request. Any pointer about how to fix this would help us 
resolve the issue.
