Hi Christian, Thanks for getting right back to me. I have some more data:
If I select "Active Directory" for Authentication Method, enter our Domain name, and select "Find DC from DNS" with everything else left blank, I get the error trace I reported in this post. However, if I select "Active Directory" for Authentication Method, enter our Domain name, and do NOT select "Find DC from DNS," but enter a a fully qualified domain name for one of our domain controllers with everything else blank, the AD authentication works perfectly. So the problem is with DNS. I'm trying to use pyDNS 2.3.6. I've installed it both with Easy_Install and by downloading source and building/installing. Is this the recommended module for DNS for RB 2.0.7? Thanks again for your help...
