Review Request Number
Hello, First I would like to say that you have created a very helpful tool. Thank you for your hard work. I have a simple request/question. I know when you use post-review to create a review, it will give you the review request number for your newly created request. This number can then be used again by post- review for updating the diff on that review. My question is how do you find this review request number within the ReviewBoard application? Why I ask is because our company is thinking about integrating reviewboard into our project release process, but we need a way to refer back to previous code reviews so that if the code gets audited we can prove that the code review took place. Providing the review request number on the dashboard and providing a way for searching reviews using this request number would greatly help. If there is an easy way to display this or (if not) can this be placed in a future release. Thanks you in advance for your reply! James -- Want to help the Review Board project? Re: Review Request Number
James, On the dashboard, if you click the right hand column ... you can see the possible column headings that can be displayed. Review ID is one of those. We chose an alternative approach which is that we have a system by which we push 'finished' reviews back to the bug tracking system. That way the bug and its review are in one single place. Re: Review Request Number
Hi James, The ID number is part of the URL. You'll see the /r/123/ or some such, and 123 would be that ID number. I can't remember if this is in 1.5.2 or just 1.6, but we've added a field on the review request listing this number, so it'll be easier in the future. I *think* search will search by ID number if you have it set up. Display of review request number
I am working on a ReviewBoard RC2 on CentOS 5.2. After creating a new review request, I was unable to locate any review request ID/number on the dashboard and on the page which lists all the review requests. When the review request was opened up, the browser address bar was the only point where I could see an ID (e.g. http://10.128.105.99/r/13/ -- I take it that '13' is the review request number). Is my observation correct or am I not looking for the review request number in the correct place? If the request number is not displayed by default, is there any admin configuration or customization setting which I could use to enable the review number being displayed on the dashboard and/or list of all review request? Or is there any other method to get this done? Below is the configuration/environment which I am using. OS: CentOS 5.2 Python 2.4.3 ReviewBoard 1.0rc2 Djblets 0.5rc1 Django 1.0.2-final django-evolution (latest checkout from SVN on 21 May 2009) flup 1.0.1 RBTools 0.2beta1 Thank you. -Deiva --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups reviewboard group. Re: Display of review request number
In the dashboard, the rightmost column is If you click on that, you get a list of other available columns to display. One of them is Review ID, which will show you what you want. I think it's not displayed by default because there's nothing you can really DO with this number. If there was a text entry field that said open review #, it might make more sense.
