Re: [rhelv5-beta-list] No ggv, gpdf no xpdf
I would think most people may want to have an application also listed in the menu area as well. -Tu -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Red Hat "Enterprise Linux 5 (Tikanga) Beta releases discussion mailing-list Sent: Sun Nov 19 12:09:56 2006 Subject: Re: [rhelv5-beta-list] No ggv, gpdf no xpdf On Sun, 2006-11-19 at 11:51 -0500, Holmes, Tu wrote: > It would seem that redhat will need to clarify what the default pdf reader > will be. eh... do they? doesn't your desktop already have this set in it's mime-type handling? doesn't the PDF open if you double click it in the filemanager? sounds like that is already clarification enough about the default... -- if you want to mail me at work (you don't), use arjan (at) linux.intel.com Test the interaction between Linux and your BIOS via http://www.linuxfirmwarekit.org ___ rhelv5-beta-list mailing list rhelv5-beta-list@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-beta-list ___ rhelv5-beta-list mailing list rhelv5-beta-list@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-beta-list

It would seem that redhat will need to clarify what the default pdf reader will be. -Tu -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: rhelv5-beta-list@redhat.com Sent: Sun Nov 19 11:46:06 2006 Subject: Re: [rhelv5-beta-list] No ggv, gpdf no xpdf Holmes, Tu wrote: > Is evince a part of the client? yes, I've got it installed (by the way, thanks Arjan). Is evince a part of the client? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (Tikanga) Beta releases discussion mailing-list Sent: Sun Nov 19 05:41:21 2006 Subject: [rhelv5-beta-list] No ggv, gpdf no xpdf It looks like both ggv and gpdf are not part of the RHEL 5 Beta 2 Client software package. Also xpdf is missing. kpdf and KGhostView are contained however. So what is the "recommended" viewer for postscript and pdf files with RHEL 5?
