There's been an issue with excessive RAM use by the dring process in
several of the latest, consecutive versions of Ring, including the
August 20th one. It starts out with about 4.6MB and increases by about
750kB to 1MB per second, before too long the computer runs out of memory
and resorts to paging. This is during a video call. Debian 9, Gnome
desktop, amd64.
I've confirmed the issue and am investigating it. You can track it with
