Hi Warren.
I haven't been using Rivendell for broadcasting yet, I'm still testing
it. But in my setup I had to set Title separation to 74 for my
A-rotation, because my clock had all in all 15 items per hour (TOTH,
music etc.), and I wanted to have 5 hours between the song repeating
itself. So Titl
Thanks for the replies.
Morten - when you say the figure is the number of carts - does that refer to
the number of carts played in that particular Event, or the overall number of
carts generated such as songs id's etc?
Another quick question, -does the system take into account if songs are

Hi,
For starters see if you're able to rip right from a command line without
going through Rivendell at all. See if you can determine if it is a
problem with the CD you're trying to rip or the CD drive not working
properly.
If it is a hardware (or CD) problem then there's no point messing with

The rd-bin.conf file is just a link to the /usr/local/libexecdir under
Ubuntu. However I'm not sure if the debs install to the same place. Try
doing a search for rdxport.cgi (find / -name rdxport.cgi).
The file contents are a bunch of comments attributed to Fred and then the

RRABuntu works fine from memory although I never did any updates with it.
I'm pretty sure libcdparanoia is the library you want instead of cdda2wav
though.

If you are adventurous, it might be better to compile it yourself, it's no
really that hard if you know how to follow a few instructions, and the current
version can play mp3's if you prefer.
Here are some instructions

Dear Rob,

Yeah, there would need to be some way that the admin priviledged user(s) could

As part of the source install you have to copy /conf/rd-bin.conf to /etc/apache2/conf.d/ then restart apache2.
Did you install this manually or use the rpms/debs? Also what distro are
you using as you'll need different --libexec flags on the configure
command (or just manually edit the conf f

How can one tell that a log is open?

What version of Rivendell are you running?
How did you install it (for example, from source or via the Rivendell
Broadcasting Appliance?)

It refer to carts. I had the same problem when reading the blog, when
learning to use the music scheduler.
It would be very nice though, if the developers would make it possible
to enter the separation in minutes. It's not easy to get the cart
separation to work 100%, when there are more sweepers,
Hi Warren
As far as I understand it refers to song title separation and the
frequency of them to be repeated when scheduling using rdlogmanager.

I'm having issues with the CD Rip when adding files to the library. Nothing
