RE: (ROSE) Copying state/activity model

2002-02-21 Thread Howlett, Richard

Hi Arno,

An activity diagram is a view to the state model. Activities may be shared
between diagrams within the same model.

-Richard

Subject: (ROSE) Copying state/activity model

Hi all,

In a certain activity diagram we have a activity that has a subdiagram.
The activity occurs in many activity diagrams for many usecases.

What we want is that all similar activities point to the same activity
diagram, but we don't know how to do that.
We could use notes to link them, but how exactly should we use them? Where
do we put them?

Additionally,
we cannot copy activity diagram to another usecase can we? Or maybe a whole
state/activity model?

Greetings,
Arno Leenders

Title: RE: (ROSE) Copying state/activity model

Hi
Nitin,

Create
a new activity diagram in Rose. Populate it with an activity or two. Notice that
you have created an activity model at the same time. You can name the
model one thing and the diagram another. Right click on this activity model
and create another activity diagram. Give it another name. Drag an
activity you previously defined onto the new diagram.

Activities can be shared / reused this way. The diagrams are really views
to the model.

HTH,
-Richard
