I think it's doing the same here too.
Test situation:
MIDI keyboard -> Edirol UM-2 -> ALSA -> Rosegarden -> ALSA ->
Edirol UM-2 -> MIDI synth
Playing the keyboard makes noise come out the synth. Recording,
everything seems normal.
