I originally assumed it was dropped due to dependencies that Ubuntu no longer supports. Sounds like that's not the case for Debian. I'll have to try building it and see if anything is missing. Latest Ubuntu I have around here is 18.04LTS running on my wife's laptop and 19.10 on a USB stick because it supposedly supported the hardware in my Dell XPS 15 7590.
