Have you actually tried to find this information somewhere on the net ? My humble suggestion is this: Use your favourite internet serach engine and enter "general midi" and start reading. Once you've done that (and you'll find EXTENSIVE reading) come back with your questions not yet answered. I just unpacked an .rg file and notice that the "instruments" are defined in the very beginning with numbers. Where can I find an index or formula relating the General-Midi Patch/Bank tree to the numbers rosegarden uses here? For example I noticed that an instrument I set up as a "Violoncello" (somehow unable to find just 'cello') has the # 2000. What I want in this case is the cello defined as patch/bank 43/0. Some other numbers used: 2561 2307 2560 2304 2305 2306 2184 2436 1440 2189. -- Everyone hates slow websites. So do we.
