According to this comment from Spot it is possible to make, I quote,
"an rpmfusion addon package to replace the ffmpegsumo.so".

I don't know why he say that if it's not really possible. Maybe you can
talk with him to have some clarifications ?
Hello,
Any progress on the codec handling of Chromium ?
Thanks !
Hello,
I was wondering if h265/hevc is supported by gstreamer now that we have
libde265 ?
Thanks !
Ok thank you for that clarification. It seems that h265 is supported
with avdec_h265. I would have say that libde265 should be used for
something like gst-plugin-libde265 but it not needed it seems.
I guess it's supported
gst-inspect-1.0 x265
Plugin Details:
Name x265
Description x265-based H265 plugins
Filename /usr/lib64/gstreamer-1.0/libgstx265.so
Version 1.8.3
License GPL
Source module
Well I'm not skilled enough but I'm surprised that nobody in RPMFusion
is interested since it looks to be relatively simple.

Hello,
According to Tom 'spot' Callaway it's possible to build a chromium-
libs-media-freeworld package to make available proprietary codecs to
chromium. It will be great if that can be add to RPMFusion !
