bitmaps might be nice way around the hinting problem ... freetype has builtin autohinting, but it is never as good as what you get from 'real hints' I have also been looking at software for creating fonts, but it seems that they are all fighting with the hinting issue ... so the rumors may be true, which say that MS is spending an amazing amount of money on their 'web fonts' by having people working on the hinting information ... cheers tobi > --mark > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > I do agree that a decent looking font in rrd graphs is > > necessary.
