Is this a known bug, can I help someone fix it by debugging it any further,
what do I need to do ?

Thanks for the info but I don't think my connection is getting dropped.
I have my modem speaker turned on, and know when it redials.
I can ping, http, ssh or scp after/while the rsync fails.

The fix for my problem was to add the --modify-window 2.
Perhaps this fix should be added to the FAQ for copies every file.

I think this issue is cygwin related, but I am not getting much response
from the cygwin list so I'll try here.
