2011-08-08 Thread Stevan Kovačević
Dear friends,

I was try to find answer and also try different installation too, but I have
no luck!

I have two Novell NetWare v6.5SP8 servers.

I want to synchronize two folders.
I did download rsync from the Novell site, but some links there are not
correct.
After some try I make installable version, I did the install instructions
but it does not work.
Please can anyone send me link to do download the correct version of rsync
for Novell NetWare v6.5 SP8.

Also would like to ask if anyone knows as detailed as possible
installation procedure
for source and destination server.
Thanks in advance.

Stevan

Re: RSync on Netware

2002-12-11 Thread Lee Wiltbank
Rick,

Thanks for the kind words. In fact, I do have the source as well, and am being
pressured right now to make it available. I can bundle NLM and source together and
make it available and would like to have it available from the download page, if that
can be arranged.

Quoting Lee Wiltbank ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):

I have ported rsync 2.5.5 to Netware and would like to, at least,
contribute the binary so that people can download it.

Being GPLed, the 2.5.5 NLM binary has actually already made it out into
public. What would be really nice would be to find and archive the
matching source code. Is there someone in Novell who can facilitate
that? I realise there's always corporate bureaucracy to work through,
in such matters.

Thank you very much for your porting work.

RE: RSync on Netware

2002-12-11 Thread Green, Paul
Well, Novell has an anonymous ftp server. (ftp.novell.com). The site is a
little sparse on human-readable information, but the only email address
listed in the top-level README file is for [EMAIL PROTECTED] I suggest
to give her or him a holler.

The README file in http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/binaries/ claims
that, If you would like to contribute binaries for a particular
platform then contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] A week ago, I wrote that
address telling them about the copy of rsync-netware-nlm-2.5.5.tar.gz
(the NLM binaries, sample config file, and NCFs) I posted, that day, to
my http://linuxmafia.com/pub/netware/ directory. They haven't yet acted
on that. (I'm not one of the rsync.samba.org admins.)

For more on that, please see:
http://www.mail-archive.com/rsync@lists.samba.org/msg05647.html

I mention all of this strictly in the hope of being of some help to you
and Novell, Inc. in this matter. (I'm aware that open-sourcing code
produced in a corporate environment can be convoluted. Ask me how I
know. ;- )

RSync on Netware

2002-12-09 Thread Lee Wiltbank
Hello,

I have ported rsync 2.5.5 to Netware and would like to, at least, contribute the
binary so that people can download it. It says on the website to use the bug tracking
system to do this, but since that isn't working, I thought I would try this. Thanks
for any help or direction.
