I'm very confused. I ran this command:
/usr/local/bin/rsync -aCHh --stats --delete-after --delete-excluded \
--exclude="/backup/" --exclude-from=/var/.rexcludes \
/ /backup/daily.0
then I ran these commands
mail ~ $ ls -ls etc/postfix/main.cf
28 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 28322 Jul 27
Hmmm, I also tried this to use variable from the script calling
instead of from the script body, same result (script doesn't
run : / ) :

How so?
Well, there's a lot of them, for one; scattered about the drive in
various places, for two.
You just have to put the appropriate number of ../ in front.
"symlinks -c" will even do this for you.

Any more info on this? You could try the latest 3.1.0dev version and try using
the --msgs2stderr option to see if it reveals a remote error that was getting

I am facing one problem with rsync. in /etc/rsyncd.conf file , one of my
entry is like bellow.
path = /data/Knowledge Centre
With this, rsync report an error "chdir failed, no such directory".
Even i tried like bellow
path = /data/Knowledge\ Centre
with this also, it gives the same error ?
