I tried to fix it with a simple free(), but according to valgrind, that makes
to leak worse, for reasons I am confused about.

Got a weird thing happening here. Im running rsync
on a windows computer to a windows server over the internet. When I run the
rsync on a full folder (approx 3.5GB, 38k files), rsync sends almost all the
files to the destination server every time. When I rsync individual folders, the
files
written to when rsync is run. will rsync include these partial files in
it's list? i want to avoid the copying of the partial files and obviously
their removal from the source.

I am using the current installation of cygwin on the server end and on about
30 client machines - appears to be a 2.x version of rsync. All appears to
be working fine with the exception of files in the 9GB+ range in size - I
keep getting an error relating to the files not being the same - I don't

I copy their data to an external drive of some sort, then to the destination
