at metacentrum.cz/cesnet.cz we are using it for years for our NGI
infrastructure. We also did some work on refactoring, but had no time to
make complex PR with tests and since tcp server inside rsyslog used to
be not really flexible to update we've reverted back to the vanilla code.
Current
This is actually a red-hat contributed module. It is in the plugin
directory just because of historical reasons. The core team does NOT
support it. We don't even have a test environment.

Does the module support 'advanced' format configuration? It is not
mentioned in documentation. What is the experience from using this module?
