I have RT 4.0.17 with Ubuntu and MySQL, very similar to Debian.
Personally I found it easier to get the sources and 'build' it. CPAN is
pretty good at resolving dependencies and the howto in my case was
accurate enough to set up with minimal help from the list.

And that 4.0.18 is also on wheezy-backports. 4.0.19 and 4.2.x is still
