EAST COAST HOURS

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
10+ years of experience in code development and integration
Expertise in VMWare technology, specifically vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestration (vRO)
Proficient with defining and executing upgrade plans from vRealize suite 7.x to 8.x
Developing code using _javascript_, PowerShell, Linux Shell, REST API, vCenter API, and JSON.
Demonstrated work experience on both Windows and Linux environments.
Demonstrated experience in deploying, patching, and upgrading vRealize suite products/ infrastructure
Expertise in integrating vRA/vRO with Puppet (or similar products - e.g., Chef, Salt, Ansible, etc.)
Expertise in integrating with various technologies and plug-ins using VRO, such as SQL, AD, REST, SSH, vSphere, etc.
Work with various teams to understand processes and determine how to incorporate into the automation
Communicate technical procedures and processes to non-technical users
Develop configuration and procedural documentation, as necessary
Come alongside less-experienced junior developers for training and knowledge sharing
Preferred skills:
Understanding of virtualization technologies - e.g., VMWare ESX, NSX, vSphere 5.5/6.5/7.0, vRealize Operations.
Expertise using vRealize Operations Manager, Life Cycle Manager, and/or Code Stream.
Programming experience in Python and/or Ruby
VMware Certified Professional or some VMware-related certification
