*Role: Java Developer (POS & Servlets)Location: Remote/ USADuration: Long TermResponsibilities*
- This position supports an organization with enterprise-wide responsibilities for the development and support of applications - Build, maintain, and enhance Point of Sale, Payments, Mobile and retail systems - Integrating POS applications using a wide range of frontend and backend technologies - Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of projects including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management - Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement - Develop advanced SQL statements and procedural code on multiple database management systems (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle) supporting numerous end user devices - Tasks include querying data, manipulating data, generating reports, and developing source code - Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes - Analyze data and solve business problems related to system capabilities - Work concurrently on multiple projects across different business units *Qualifications:* - 5+ years of MIS and retail systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company - Proven problem-solving and team building skills - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven - Possess excellent customer service skills - Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work in a team setting with both Agile and Waterfall products/projects - Ability to work in a changing, growing company and demonstrate flexibility - HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX for front end - Experience with Integration/ETL Platforms (Data Stage, Talend) - Experience with Testing Tools (Regression/Automation), HP Suite preferably - Extensive experience writing efficient SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2) - Issue and project tracking (JIRA, MS Project) - Ability to convey technical specifications in a business friendly manner - Excellent communication, problem solving, and data analysis skills - Able to work on multiple "open" projects at one time as they are in various stages of development, testing, and approval processes - Ability to pick-up and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks Thanks Ramesh -- You received this message because you are subscribed to "rtc-linux".
