Title: Performance Tester / Engineer

Location: SFO, CA 

Duration: Long term 

Rate: DOE 

 

Role & Responsibilities:


	This work requires an understanding of Oracle databases and systems, the ability to troubleshoot, profile, trace, and debug software Oracle databases and it’s client applications.
	Experience in database profiling using SQL profiler or other APM tools to understand time consuming queries
	Expertise in providing recommendations such as indexing, table partitions, sharding, read/write split, replication strategies, query re-write, etc.
	Experience with Query optimization
	Good experience in performance testing via tools including Jmeter or HP Load Runner with specialization in performance analysis of J2EE
	Application monitoring experience using leading monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, JVisualVM, Perfmon and Splunk. Knowledge on any monitoring and analysis tools is welcome.
	Expertise in root cause analysis of performance issues using native tools or other diagnostic tools like Jprofiler, JProbe or other J2EE profilers and, Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as the ones listed above or any other APM tools
	Experience in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and how they relate back to applications. Ability to install and configure applications and environments.
	The candidate will need to be self-driven, motivated, and demonstrate the ability to both work independently and as part of a team
