Dan's bugs are fixed + Specification has been converted to use Gem::Path. I
took care to ensure that no external API changes occurred, but please validate.
Tests pass on 1.8.7-p334 and 1.9.2-p180, OS X 10.6. While I can test on more
platforms, help is always appreciated.
