[Ryu-devel] installing ryu w/openstack

Hi, I'd like to try ryu w/openstack. I have an openstack controller and compute node setup with quantum. The instructions look a little outdated, so thought I'd check, do I still need to download the modified nova and quantum from OSRG git, to use ryu? Will essex 2012.1 work, or perhaps the latest
