Thank you for your response Pedro, but I want to know the path,
irrespective of the flow rules.
I would like to know the path of any packet from a source to destination in
the form of list of dpid when I want to know.
Is that possible ?
Thanks

HI,
well, the approach depends on your environment.
One way would be to get the topology of your network, pre-calculate routes
and then reactively set the forwarding rules to implement the rules as the
packet goes from switch to switch. In this case, the first packet's RTT may
be miserable but th
Hello,
I would like to know the path taken by a packet in an SDN environment. Is
there a way I can know the list of dpid or the nodes any packet is flowing
through. Any idea or input is appreciated.
Thanks

so , I am assuming you don't see this freezing behaviour in newer
controller version? Interesting. I will try running my program with newer
version. But I am curious to know if this is a known issue?

Maybe you should try a newer version. I'm using Ryu 4.34 on Debian 10.3.
